Napoli champion of Italy

The national soccer championship draws to a close, and after more than 30 years, Napoli, a local soccer team, becomes champions of Italy.

It had been since 1987 when Diego Armando Maradona, a famous footballer of Argentine origin and winner of the world championship title, led Napoli to the victory of its first national title (scudetto). Then another 3 years passed, 1990, and the magical Diego again ferried the team to victory.

Today, after so many years, it is Victor Osimhen's time, who together with many other fantastic soccer players, brings the much coveted title back to the city of Naples.

The Sorrento Peninsula, Capri, Positano are all celebrating this victory. Coming on vacation, this year, summer 2023, to Sorrento, means not only admiring the beauty of our coast, sailing our seas, visiting Capri, Positano or discovering the ruins of Pompeii. Today coming to Sorrento will allow you to admire the festivities that only the warmth of the Neapolitan people can give.

The whole peninsula will be colored blue, on the streets there will be parades of fans, fireworks, dancing, music and much more.
